Neutral grounding

We have a system needing neutral grounding, and lead times are way out. Can an existing pad mount transformer be reconfigured for Zig-Zag or grounding neutral configuration?

Is the existing transformer secondary Ungrounded-Wye or Delta?  Likely a dumb question.  If it were not Delta, you wouldn't be asking.

Assuming it is ungrounded Delta, and the system is not something screwie, like corner grounded, then yes.

Unless there is a rest-of-the-story.  In which case you need to enlighten us

    Just thinking:

If the issue is needing 40/277, grounded wye for lighting, heat trace or the like.

One common method is to scatter 75KVA 480Dd/480Y transformers around the plant and feed a 100A 480/277 panel.  Those small xfm are not usually long lead

And I'm thinking you probably already knew this.
